Poartry Collaboration at Ledbury

July was really exciting with a joint exhibition at the Artistree Gallery at Ledbury Heritage Centre. Artists and Poets were envited to collaborate and produce work inspired by each other's creations.

I was extremely lucky to be paired with Val Randle and we found we had themes on nature and environmental issues in common. I also chose to reflect this by using pyrography to etch my poems on to recycled bits of scrap wood, some of which were then attached to re-purposed, salvaged roofing slates which were cut to size. Val's paintings were mainly acrylic, although the Sea Pollution one below does have some mixed media.
